Dr. Anastasia Talalenko is a second-generation immigrant whose parents’ pursuit of the American Dream shaped the hardworking individual she is today. Growing up, Dr. Talalenko played golf competitively and balanced her studies to become a dentist. Her dedication paid off when she was admitted to Nova Southeastern University’s Dual Admissions 3+4 program, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in biology and her D.M.D. from Nova Southeastern College of Dental Medicine.
During her last year of dental school, she was awarded the Student Achievement Award in Endodontics and discovered her love for the endodontic specialty from amazing mentors in school. After dental school, Dr. Talalenko worked as a general dentist serving the communities of Southwest Florida. She branched out from her general dentistry roots and aimed to specialize in endodontics, leading her to attain her post-doctoral Certificate in Advanced Education in Endodontics from Stony Brook University. During her time in Stony Brook’s specialty program, Dr. Talalenko provided endodontic care to the communities of Long Island and conducted research on lasers in endodontics. She presented her research at the national American Association of Endodontics annual meeting in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Talalenko is one of the select few practicing endodontists to have earned Board Certification and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.
